Hi Keji, just accepted an offer from a Company for a Agile Business Analyst role…they may be in touch soon.
2016, DBT came to my attention whilst I was attending a funeral, of all places. A friend of mine mentioned “Keji” in pasting. The name it’s self is a brand name. The next day at my place of work at that time, I had got into some office polictics. The writing was on the wall, I knew I had to leave at some point but for better. I quickly googled Keji’s name and blam!! there he was. It was the pain beginning of this painstaking. Although I was living in London, I had taken a wrong turning along the motorway of life. I was feeling I was going to be stuck in a dead end job. But I still had dreams and aspirations. Strainght I joined DBT, taking the weekend slots for training at the Greenwich site. I was so proud of my country trying to do something in England and help people to improve their lives. I was so impressed at the candidates that came from all over the country. From Birmingham, Scotland and Milton keynes. One particular person had come from Northampton and bought a ticket for the week but had to go back for her Laptop. Sorry guys this is going to be a long story. Once I joined I knew things were going to change, the classes were small and we had dinner put on at the end of the training. Man, you guys coming onboard now missed it.
I used my remaining annual leave to watch training videos but my work place became so toxic, I had to leave. With my little saving, I focused on DBT. I joined the DX ESP Project team, special shout out to Modupe, Josephine, Sophia, Oladipupo, Babajibe, Pearl and Amina, please forgive me I have forgotten to mention anyone. We had fun working that project, day and night, over the weekends. We were family and we fought like family. My mentor was Bello, the “James Bond” of DBT, always so cool, thank you sir for your insights. Victor, our reliable product owner and the great George, who once stayed up till 4am in the morning preping me for an interview. There are so many great people at DBT and so many resources to support the candidates. A special mention to the women with children at DBT, you guys are amazing, I bow to you. They were staying up at all kind of hours in. the night and then going to work next day with the kids ready for school. Please do not miss a Sponsor’s meeting if you can, Keji gave me so many nuggets for interviews. Keji got me reading about the story Netflix, Uber and even Elon Musk. When Keji changed the framework from Wagile to Safe Agile, he was giving us ammunition for interviews, who knew. I got so hurt, when people tried to attack this establishment, was this jealous? I don’t understand. Girlfriends complained that I was always in meetings at DBT. I told them I was having an affair with them, as DBT was my wife. They dumped me, no surprise there. My friend mocked me, told me not to trust DBT. Ok for him, he was earning good money already. When I started to look for work, some Recruitment agencies were so negative about DBT but on other hand other agencies were so positive and fascinated with DBT, and wanted to know what we did at DBT. I said Excellence is what we did at DBT. At first, nobody called or returned my calls, I went back to the drawing board and watched the Killer CV video. Always keep your subscription up. At some point, the floodgates opened, interviews abound. Some interviewers were tough and slapped my face, metaphorically speaking. But No meant to me Next Opportunity. Then the job came looking for me, the manager asked me about Digital, wrong move there. I blew him away with excitment, mentioning the improvment with eWorkexperience platform working seemlessly with Basecamp….he didn’t stand a chance. The second stage of the interview was with the manager and an ex DBT candidate, I wet myself. Because I knew somehow she would give me a hard time in the interview. But luckily that day she was not available and she confirm to me that she. would have given me a hard time, as an DBT candidate I’m supposed to represent she insisted. Guys I could go on…my Bank account was frozen, Gym membership was frozen, Laptop needed an upgrage and cash ran out but I had my subscription. Please guys get your hands dirty, you can’t read this stuff in a book, I tried years ago. We don’t bite at DBT, well some of us don’t. This has been a journey, thank you Keji, brother keep going. I pray everytime you go to Nigeria you come back safe as we need you for our References, just joking. God bless everyone on this platform, DBT is changing lives.
