I started with Career insights on the 20th of April 2015 without any prior knowledge in Project Management and started my first PMO Analyst role on the 20th of August 2015.
I worked on several projects including Transcend Cartoon and Enterprise, iRobot and more recently ES-Bank.
I am very passionate about Project management so it was very easy for me to get my hands filthy 😂🙈!
I became an award winning actress for my interview at GSK and as it was my first interview, I had to be confident, they asked me competence based questions, answering the questions was easy as I just spoke about my experiences in the projects I worked for! I turned the interview to a basic chat( so to speak), I had a second interview the next day with Computer center and was offered both roles. I chose the contract role with GSK over the permanent one with Computer center as the pay was much better 🙈.
It took a few months to train and secure the role as a PMO analyst but I worked super hard and organised and outlined a pathway for myself.
I wanted to concentrate fully on PM
and decided not to distract myself by learning other subjects…. I knew I could come back to that, I structured what was most important and concentrated on subjects and topics that would make me an expert at PMO Analysis.
Thank you so much for the opportunity Keji, thanks to Otillia 😘😘😘 Ure just a queen and I love u, thanks to Chris and Perrpetual PMO Cartoon for keeping my learning lively, thanks to my darling Funmi Ayorinde for all those daily webinars set up at 1:00am till 4:00am dissecting different reports and project plans! Thanks to my Enigdibles team especially Abiodun Idowu, Kelechi etc and to those I harassed daily to teach me effective high level project reporting, Project Initiation Documents, Waterfall and Agile, planning etc.
If I can do it, anyone can.
