“There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success”
— George Burton Adams
And similarly my success story was shaped by guidance and support of a lot of people.
I started about a year ago, had just taken an exit from a startup and was looking for my next adventure, really wanted to find a place where i could just get some experience in return of anything and CI was no less than a God send in that regard.
straight after the induction session i was picked by Ola and put as BA tech lead on ES-Bank apps project, worked on it for a few months and then had to leave for some personal reasons and then once again when i got a bit of time joined a project once again.
beside that i made good use of the completed project on Basecamp and confluence and learnt a lot by reverse engineering them.
During all this process i was lucky to have the guidance of Vijay as a mentor, he helped me right from the beginning from coming up with smart goals to writing killer CV and preparing for the interviews. And there were manymore of you who put me in the right direction at the times of self doubt.
And in the end it all came down to tenacity and persistence, for its like any other journey, although you have your fair share of doubts as to how long would it take you to get there, but deep down you know that with every little step you take, you are getting ever so more closer to that destination.
